The Globe: Scotland

Hundreds of magnificent karsts formations are scattered the world over.


Karsts topography is a landscape shaped by the dissolution of a layer or layers of soluble bedrock usually carbonate rock such as limestone or dolomite.



The Globe is part of the Knockan Crag, a line of cliffs in Assynt, Scotland. The name means "crag of the small hill".


To give you perpective this is a pic I found that shows it's relative size. Of course behind him there are "miles and miles of nothing"


Neil sits on top of the globe made from rocks by chored.
